Couples BUNKO

OK first of all, some of you may be thinking that I spelled Bunko wrong in the title. Did I??? Is it Bunko or Bunco??? I spell checked it in word and there was not a match for either, BUT then I googled it (love Google) and believe it or not, it's spelled both ways. Things came up with both spellings. WEIRD. Anyway, I think the K looks cuter then the C so that's the way I will be spelling it. Now that we have that off the back burner, I would like to say what a fun way to start an awesome weekend. My wonderful mother likes to take my kids a lot and spend time with them. I don't let it happen too often because she does daycare (good woman, I would go postal) all during the week from 5am to 6pm. How draining!!!!! Anyway, the girls happen to be with Grammy this weekend and so Craig and I have a weekend to ourselves. Friday night we had some couples from the neighborhood come over for couples Bunko. It was so fun!!! Everyone pitched in $5 so we could have some prizes for the most Bunko's, most wins, and most losses. The one with the most Bunko's won a $20 gift certificate to Chili's---The lucky winner went to Rick Gardner. The most win's received a liter of root beer(always caffeine free..right), $5 to blockbuster, and thing of popcorn---That went to Rick's wife Debbie, go figure, the two best prizes. Last but not least, Alicia took home the loosing prize, a bag of Dumb Dumb suckers. Then we decided to Karaoke---One of my favorite things for entertaining. We played a little idol with that if you will. I am not good at singing by any means, but I still love doing it. It was such a fun group of people. Thanks everyone for coming. Who knows what we will do today without the kiddies. I asked Craig what his ideal Saturday would be without the girls. His response: Go golfing 18 holes, come home and eat lunch, take a nap with me, do some things in the yard and watch the Jazz game. Really.....can you see much getting accomplished here???? Yes, relaxing is nice, but in my mind, we should get things done why we don't have the kids. My response: Sleep in- Not past 8:30, and that is sleeping in for us. Clean the house spot less and catch up on all the laundry. Then proceed to the yard. This way it will be done by Monday and I can spend every second focused on the girls. (Cleaning usually begins on Monday and ends Tuesday..or Wednesday..or even Friday when you have kids all over you). That way I can spend all the time with the kids if the cleaning is done and out of the way. Plan Lexi's birthday. Catch up on scrap booking, or START scrap booking all the gazillion pictures I have laying around. Then go on a double date with our great friends, the Keiseles. Go to a fabulous restaurant with no screaming kids, then to a movie. That's my ideal....Looks like we're on different pages. We'll seeeeee what happens.

Girls Night- "I'm wingin it"

This week we had girls night out with a bunch of girls from the ward. There was literally almost 30 girls. What fun!!!! It was planned to get a bite from wingers. Personally, I'm not a big wingers fan, but it was well worth the night out with some good friends. Thanks Jules for arranging...your always great at planning these kind of things. If it weren't for you, we'd probably never get together.

GO JAZZ GO

So on Monday, our wonderful friends, The Rykerts, invited us to go to the Jazz game. It was sooo fun!!! We got to sit in a suite and eat lots of yummy, yummy food. The ideal date night for Craigers....again anything to do with sports is right up his alley. The Jazz came out on top with a leading score 105 to 96. Aren't they doing so well this year? I'd say so. I have to admit, Cassie and I weren't fully committed to the first couple of quarters because we had some girl talk we needed to catch up on. But when the 4th quarter hit...we we're totally tuned in. What a fun night!!! Thanks again Cass and Derric.

JuMp On It

A couple of my high school friends and I planned to get together and go to jump on it. We all had kids around the same age so it's fun to get them together every now and again. What a fun little place to go let your kids get their wiggles out. Every thursday is mom n me, so I have to say, I do take advantage of that. It's CHEAP, FUN, and there's not a whole lot of people there. After we went back to my house and had turkey, avocado sandwhiches. TO DIE FOR!!! Thanks girls for a fun get together. I am always looking for things to keep the girls busy and entertained...so Please leave your suggestions. I am always up for new ideas.

Fire Station

For our ward playgroup we went to the fire station. It may seem kinda like a "boy" thing, but Lexi loved it. She got to wear the fire man's coat and even got in the fire truck. Halle wasn't to sure, but enjoyed staying put in moms arms. Perfect time for a "teaching moment" and to share the good ole Stop...Drop...and Roll method and about fire's. You don't think (I don't anyway) to teach about those things on a daily basis, but I'm glad she knows some what of the basics.

HAPPY EASTER

I am just barley getting this easter post up because I haven't had a blog but less then a week. Better late then never...right!! We had a great time this year. Lexi and Halle we're able to go to 5 easter egg hunts. By the fifth one, they we're still happy as ever to run around and "hunt" for eggs. This is easter morning when they found their baskets. Every easter Craig and I hide the girls baskets and play hot and cold to find them. This year Lexi's was in the dryer and Halle's was in the fridge. They had so much fun!!
